F0E2 is the over-suds code. The washer has detected too many suds, so it may not spin out water properly and the load may not be fully rinsed. It appears on several Whirlpool washer types, and each is described below.
Front load washers
The F0 E2 error code means the washer has detected excessive suds in the basket. It runs an automatic suds reduction routine, and you should let it keep running. If “Sud” or “Sd” appears with the Rinse status light on, the washer is removing suds. If “Sud” or “Sd” appears with the Cycle Complete light on, the load may not be thoroughly rinsed, or water may not be entirely removed. You may want to select a Rinse/Spin cycle.
If the washer has a bulk dispenser and it is enabled, there is no need to add extra detergent to the load, since that could cause excess suds. Also check the concentration level entered in the machine.
Top load washers
Over Suds Detected: the washer found too many suds during the cycle. Choose a Rinse/Spin cycle for further rinsing if needed. Use only High-Efficiency (HE) detergent. Non-HE detergent or more than the recommended amount can cause excess suds, a reduced spin speed and very wet loads, plus longer cycles from added rinses.
“No splash” or “easy-pour” liquid chlorine bleach contains a thickening agent that may create suds. Run the washer empty with regular liquid bleach products, or clean it with a washer cleaning product before the next load.
Laundry towers (washer section)
The listed cause is over suds detection. Use HE detergent only, measure the amount, and clean the washer regularly. Older detergent, especially powder, does not dissolve well. Keep detergent containers closed, and replace detergent that is not dissolving.
Compact ventless laundry towers (washer section)
When “Sud” or “Sd” is displayed, the washer extends the rinse time. It pauses tumbling and adds water for more rinsing so the bubbles can break. The pause and rinse are necessary and may repeat several times. Follow the detergent maker’s dosage for soil level and load size. Large pre-measured pacs are only for large or heavily soiled loads. After the cycle ends, a Clean Wash cycle is recommended to remove excess detergent.
