What this codemay mean.
A plain-language reading of the code — always confirm against your model’s documentation.
Mean
Stuck key or console error.
A Whirlpool built-in dishwasher showing F2E1 is reporting a stuck key or console error.
Reset the dishwasher control
Whirlpool says that, much like a computer, a dishwasher control can sometimes be fixed by a reset. The control panel has to be disconnected from power for 30 seconds. A plugged-in dishwasher is simply unplugged for that long and plugged back in. A hard wired one needs its breaker at the home electrical panel switched off for 30 seconds, then on again.
If F2E1 keeps showing on your Whirlpool dishwasher in Los Angeles, call (310) 448-6692. Tell us the code, the model number and that you already cycled the power. Visit dishwasher repair for related information.
Stop immediately if you notice smoke, sparks, a burning smell, gas odor, or water near electrical parts.
