Top-load machines hide the model number under the lid; front-loaders hide it in the door opening. Both platforms still follow fill → wash → drain → spin. A cycle that dies in the middle is often a lock that dropped out or a drain that never finished.
Front-load door boots collect hair and coins and stay wet if you close the door after every load. That is an odor story more than a bearing story. Bearings announce themselves with a growl that grows with spin speed.
If you already pulled the drain hose and a lake came out, say so. That tells us the pump or the standpipe, not the motor.
